Expert in strategic planning, competitiveness analysis and project management. He was a board director and vice president of customer service at Daycohost. For UNIDO, he coordinated the capital goods automation program in nine countries. As a consortium partner, he worked on the national capacity study for the offshore gas projects. That study covered twenty-four industrial sectors and calculated their national value added. He worked on privatization and restructuring processes in electricity, steel and water.

He chaired Aggreko in Venezuela and later led its Andean region. He held senior roles at Shell and Pfizer. He was general manager of a national LPG distributor. He started at PDVSA, in the gas and domestic market division. He represented Shell in the opening of the domestic fuels market. He worked on exploration and production projects in Lake Maracaibo and offshore in Paria. He chaired the Venezuelan-British Chamber of Commerce from 2019 to 2021.

Jesús Argenis Gómez Sáez

He co-founded GENTE, winner of the National Technology Award in 1993. He co-founded Etheron, the first prepaid internet provider in Latin America. He was director of commercial strategy at CANTV Servicios and IT planning manager at CANTV. He founded and led Pragmagenia, a large-scale IT and telecom consultancy. He was CTO of Pabis, in Mexico, until its acquisition by TeamCore. Today he leads Abierto Lab, a promoter of innovation ventures built on artificial intelligence.

He taught reservoir engineering and engineering economics at UCV. He has written SPE and WHOC papers on the Orinoco Oil Belt.
